Ninux.org endorses Battlemesh v14

Ninux.org supports this year’s “Wireless Battle of the Mesh – Building Community Networks for Fun and Non-Profit”.

The event aims to bring together people from across the globe who are interested in community networks, including wireless mesh network technologies, fiber infrastructure, Do-It-Yourself Internet Access Providers, and more generally how to create and maintain a thriving community of people involved in building their own networks.

We envision 4 days of expert presentations, practical workshops, hacking sessions, and fruitful discussions: whether you are a mesh networking enthusiast, community networking activist, protocol developer, or have an interest in networking in general, come and join the event!

The Battlemesh is free of charge and open for all.

This year, the event will take place from Monday 19th to Wednesday 22nd of September, 2022 in Rome, Italy, at Fusolab, i.e. Ninux.org’s headquarter in Rome! It will be followed by the RomHack Camp on September 23-24-25, also in Rome.

Ninux.org supports this year’s “Wireless Battle of the Mesh – Building Community Networks for Fun and Non-Profit”.

We envision 7 days full of expert presentations, practical workshops, late-night hacking sessions, and fruitful discussions: whether you are a mesh networking enthusiast, community networking activist, protocol developer, or have an interest in networking in general, come and join the event!

Thanks to generous sponsors, the Battlemesh is free of charge and open for all, and every year the local organization team strives to keep participation costs low by negotiating deals for accommodation and food.

This year, the event will take place from Monday 8th to Sunday 14th of July, 2019 in Saint-Denis (Paris), France. The event is locally organized.

ninux.org endorses “Mesh is in the air” – this year mesh up of the “Wireless Battle of the Mesh” and “Wireless Community Weekend”

We keep the approach to test the performance of different routing protocols for ad-hoc networks and combine it with the celebration of the 15th anniversary of the yearly Freifunk community get together. The mix becomes a global gathering of wifi tech experts, mesh developers and community networkers that join the event to hack, test, discuss, explain, learn and barbecue at c-base, Berlin’s famous hack-space-station.

If you are a mesh networking enthusiast, community activist, have an interest in wifi or dynamic routing protocols, you can’t miss this event!

Il “Wireless Battle of the Mesh” è un evento che mira a far incontrare persone da tutto il pianeta per testare le performance dei differenti protocolli di routing (Babel, B.A.T.M.A.N., BMX, OLSRv1, OLSRv2, 802.11s, ecc) e per parlare di community network.

Molti sviluppatori e appassionati di reti mesh si uniranno all’evento per smanettare, testare, parlare, spiegare ed imparare.

L’evento è gratuito ed aperto a tutti, ogni anno ci impegniamo a tenere i costi di partecipazione bassi facendo accordi per pernottamento e cibo.

Quest’anno l’evento si terrà da lunedì 5 a domenica 11 Giugno 2017 a Vienna, Austria ed è organizzato da Funkfeuer, la wireless community network di Vienna.

Ninux sostiene il battlemesh dalle sue primissime edizioni perchè è anche grazie a questo tipo di eventi che riusciamo a migliorare le nostre conoscenze sul campo delle reti distribuite e sulle reti comunitarie.

Grazie al battlemesh abbiamo imparato tante cose che ora utilizziamo nelle nostre reti. Se siete interessati alle reti mesh, ai protocolli di routing dinamici, alle reti comunitarie non potete perdere questo evento!
